What is Sahaja Yoga
In today’s fast-paced world, our minds are constantly bombarded by thoughts. These thoughts come either from our past or our future, and can make us feel happy, sad, anxious, restless, or stressed. It is hard to silence our minds and truly be in the present. Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a unique technique that helps quieten our thoughts by bringing us into the present moment.
How does Sahaja Yoga work
We all have an inner spiritual energy called the Kundalini, which sits dormant at the base of the spine. When this energy is awakened, it rises through our spine, comes out from the crown of our head and unites with the energy of the universe. This union of two energies is called Yoga. The word Sahaja means spontaneous. So when this spontaneous union takes place within us, we go beyond the mind and experience the present moment, a place of complete silence. This present moment is meditation. Hence, meditation is not an action, but it is a state of inner peace and mental silence.
